"Woodinville is an integral part of the Metropolitan area of Seattle. Initially the inhabitants of woodenville were Sammamish people. Ira Woodin and Ira's wife Susan, relocated to Woodville from Seattle. A small cabin was built near the bank of Sammamish river, later on a township was formed with the cabin being the first school of Woodinville also a small portion of the cabin was used as a post office with Susan as the post master. This was around 1871 and by the early decades of 20th century Woodinville had the logging community. Later it became a suburb of Seattle when the World War II was over. On 31st of March 1983 Woodinville was officially incorporated. Northshore school district serves the majority part of Woodinville, however the southwest region of Woodenville is under the Lake Washington School District. The city's education point of view of people is good enough that there is more number of schools and Montessori's coming in the city.
The education system is improved from that of earlier days with change in teaching methodologies. Teaching the lessons as on the text books is not what education means, it should bring up the individuality and mental ability of children. Many of the preschools are affiliated to the Shoreline Community College Parent Education Program and also they have the accreditation standards from National Association for the Education of Young Children. It is the duty of the daycare centers and preschool to enlighten the thinking power and working ability of the child. A child is always encouraged to feel the senses to see, understand, hear, touch, taste and smell. As the child gets in touch with objects around the curiosity levels increases and the want for knowledge becomes more useful. Discussions on the objects will improve the child's understanding of the surrounding.
Children are given the opportunity to think of themselves than confined to lessons. The child is molded enough to make their mental ability sharper and improving their skill set. Another aspect of this teaching methodology is the problem solving and reasoning skill development for a child. This method creates a base for their education levels and standard of living.
Many people who think out of the box are creative and also successful compared to others who still live a life following only what they have only learned from their books. Montessori provides the child to think different and come up with their own talent with creative thoughts. It is believed that the children have the foundation for writing and reading through the practice of oral communication. As a part of the educational curriculum children are asked to read out stories, poems and sing rhymes or songs. Parents are the most important resource of education that is provided for a child than any other curriculum or syllabus. Keeping in mind this fact, daycare center conducts programs including the parents of the children enrolled.
